Always happy to have him home and sad to see him leave. We're looking forward to having him home again for Christmas break!💖

Moon
Cole dug out the telescope.
We were able to see Jupiter fairly well through the telescope, but pictures were no good.

Scenes From My Morning Run
Frozen beaver pond on Clark Rd.
There's a book about France.
This would be a really nice photo if it wasn't for the telephone pole right in the middle.
These streaks look dramatic but they're caused by my cracked camera glass.

B&W Daily: Heather Changes a Tire
Heather drove the Toyota to school the other day. At the end of the day, she found it had a completely flat tire. Here she is, after the flat had been repaired, removing the spare and putting the tire back on.

B&W Daily: Pumpkin Carving
Well, so much for "daily" but here is Heather getting ready for Halloween.
Heather went for the classic Jack-o-Lantern design.
I bought several pumpkins from a family in Wheelock. Their front yard was covered with hundreds pumpkins and a hand painted sign by the road saying"Pumpkins for Sale." When I stopped, a 30ish year old dad came from the back of the house saying that all pumpkins were on sale because he didn't want to have any left over. He said he and his kids had planted 200 seeds in the spring and got only 12 pumpkins due to all the rain in July. He ended up buying all the rest and the kids were "running the business." They were keeping track of their inventory, and counting the money in the box each night. It was very cute. I sympathized with their heavy rain dilemma and inwardly chuckled at the thought of the dad having to deal with many leftover pumpkins.
At work, the golf cart has been put away for the winter. Little did I know that it would be the last time I would see it. That's a post for another time when the dust has settled.

B&W Daily: Fall Sports
On Saturday, Wes and I drove to Norwich University so see Wayne and his Castleton team in a cross country race.
He did a great job running the 8K race in 30:47 with a really strong finish. Here he sprints to the finish line.
The finishers look at the screen to see their times. This was Norwich's first home meet since 1999.
There was an awards ceremony. Top 10 finishers were awarded a t-shirt. Wayne finished in 7th place for men.
I just like this photo of Wayne strutting away with his t-shirt in hand.
Friday Night Lights. Heather's Lake Region soccer team played at U32 under the lights. Above, Heather is doing a throw in. LR has been wearing pink during October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
DIII Lake Region ultimately lost to DII U32, but played a strong game. They enjoyed the unique experience of playing under the lights. Joanie and Cedric joined us in watching this game.

B&W Daily: Today at Work
Today at the college, we had VSAC hosting Kingdom Career Connect. Five hundred middle school students learned about future career options in workshops held all over the campus. The day started off with a key note speaker in the theater.
Kingdom Trails presented a workshop.
An instructor from Dartmouth Medical School let the students dissect brains.
Northwoods Stewardship had a workshop.
Lyndon Rescue taught kids how to save lives.
The garbage truck was a huge hit.
There were many, many more presenters that I can't even begin to show. I decided to leave this last photo in color. It's the view from my office showing all the busses lined up, waiting to take the students back to their schools. They drank A LOT of soda in the dining hall. God bless those bus drivers and teachers.
