Much to Wayne's alarm, we didn't do a kids birthday party this year (that April Fool's party did me in) so we just had a nice little family celebration with all of us and Grammie and Joanie.

Thanks to everyone for all the calls, cards, and gifts. He had a great birthday, even if he was feeling a little run down from a miserable cold. The school year has barely begun and already the germ exchange is on!
Boy, that cake looks and sounds delicious!! I love the blueberry bushes. Wayne, will you be able to make your own blueberry pie next year or will it take a couple of years to have enough berries? Sorry, Wayne, that you already have a cold! Maybe the antioxidants from blueberryies or raspberry cake, will help! Hope you feel better soon!!
