in the Garden

Who else, but Heather can get away with wearing a a sparkly, sequined skirt in the garden? Here, she's picking some of her Jack-be-Little pumpkins.

On another day, a fist full of beans emerges from the back of the teepee.

We're getting so much corn now we might have to sell some at the C+W.

 Another sparkly shirt!

Corn for dinner almost every night.

And just for a bit of color, some apple and sunflower photos.

  1. Wow. Your kids are getting the same fantastic garden childhood we had. Amazing. My kids are scared of flies.

  3. Oooh, yum. Too bad they discontinued the Barton bus stop or I'd pop up in a flash to help eat your corn bounty!

Lovely pictures. I especially like the ones of the kiddos presenting their crops!

  7. What are you feeding your garden? Cow Manure from Brian? All your plants and crops look so healthy!! I got late blight, again, so no more tomatoes! The kids look like they are enjoying harvesting, but who does the weeding? That was not our favorite chore as kids! Love Mart

  8. Your garden is so amazing- much, much better than ours. In fact, I should post a picture just to show you how weedy and overgrown our world is over here right now. Did somebody say "School's In?" Great pictures, and it's such a great feeling to grow your own stuff- I'll bet that corn will FLY off the shelf at the C&W!!
    Love,
