If Luke and Obi Wan Were at Odds

Here is a little stop-action Lego Star Wars video that Wayne created. It's an unlikely light saber duel between Luke Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi.

Not bad for a first attempt at stop-action filming. The next episode will have music added to it - if we can figure it out!

    1. He made over 70 still frames. I'm not sure how many he actually used.

  2. Holy smokes! That is so cool. How long did it take to make, Wayne?

  3. Oh my goodness, Wayne! That is so neat. Must have taken so much patience to move them ever so slightly and take the photograph. At least, that's how I think that is done. Correct?

  4. What a smarty-pants! Wayne might as well skip middle and high school and just go straight to Dartmouth with Matt! ;) How long did that take to make? He must have a lot of patience!

  5. Wayne is the "anonymous" reply to the comments above.

In one reply he says it took him 2 1/2 hours, but I would say it took him a bit longer. He spent a long time Wednesday evening making the still shots, and then yesterday after school he spent quite a long time putting the stills into the movie maker program. Learning how to adjust the length of each shot took most of the time and was very tedious work because he had to manually plug in how many tenths of a second he wanted each frame to be. I'm sure there are more sophisticated programs that make it a lot easier, but we just have this "Windows Movie Maker" program that came with the computer.

Also, I have to say, that I would not let him use my camera for fear that he would drop it on the cement basement floor, so he was using his little $15 ebay camera, which is the reason many of the shots a little fuzzy. I told him that for Episode II, I would help him so that we could use my camera.
