I feel like I'm on a roll with the music posts lately. This will be the last one for a while, I think. (Until the Opus 29 concert anyway.)
Heather was invited to sing with the high school chorus in their winter concert. The song is called "When You Believe" from the Prince of Egypt. The choral director wanted some younger voices for parts of the arrangement. Please excuse the screaming toddler at the beginning of this video - she was dancing around on the bleachers and fell, giving herself a good whack on the noggin.
I made Wayne and Cole come so they could hear what a high school chorus and band sounds like. It's amazing what a difference a couple of years make.
How wonderful for Heather! What a great experience for her to be surrounded by four part harmony. She looked absolutely beautiful up there on stage in her red dress. I noticed she really opens her mouth and sings out! Good for her!
ReplyDeleteWas that her friend, Anna, next to her?
Anya is more to the front. The Trevitts twins, Evy and Ella (who sold you some rotten apples by the roadside one summer, and whose parents own Parker Pie) are to the right of Heather.
ReplyDeleteOK. I was mixed up!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful song, and they all did such a great job!! Heather, proud of you standing in front of all those people with all those highschool kids!! It was a great job! And another beautiful dress!
ReplyDeleteLove, Joanie
What a nice song. Heather you looked so pretty and your voice added a lot to the song!
