The cake. Need I say more?
Grammie and Joanie joined us for a dinner of favorites - meatloaf and mashed potatoes. I'm behind the camera and Wayne is absent from the photo because he was at jazz band rehearsal for a couple of hours.
Opening presents.
Wayne (back from band) gave him an "April Fool's" present which was a box inside of a box, inside of a box, inside of a box, inside of a box (each one wrapped) in which he found a note that led him on little scavenger hunt. Eventually he was lead to a $1 bill hidden behind the TV.
Eleven candles is quite a lot.
Hope you had a great birthday Cole. We love you so much!

What fun it was to see Cole's bday celebration pictures! That cake looks perfect for Cole because of all the sweets!
ReplyDeleteWayne's idea of a present was very creative and so much fun for Cole, I bet!
Love, Aunt Lisa
Darlene, I want the link for the recipe for that cake, it is truly astonishing! Throwing Estelle's fake birthday (or rather 8 3/4 birthday) party in a week and that could be a BIG hit.
ReplyDeleteDear Cole, we love you so and thought of you many times as I know you would have loved to have had Estelle & Léna sticking paper fish on your back all day long, as is the custom on April 1st here.
Lastly, Wayne, that is a great, great bday trick gift. love it
I love the looks of this cake, and loving Kit Kats makes me want to make one, for anyone!! How clever Darlene. Please share the recipe if you have time!! Looks like Cole got our birthday card on time!! Happy 11th Birthday!! Really seems that it happened quickly for Cole!!
