Last night was the history fair, held at North Country High School.
Cole worked with classmate Erica, studying two Vermont women who were women's right to vote activists.
It turned out to be quite a family night. Aimee and Tyler organize the event. They are not the judges, so they had nothing to do with Cole and Erica winning a cash prize. I'm not sure what category they won.
Our little Glover Community School had a very strong showing at this event, with students placing in a majority of categories. Glover, Glover, Glover...I think people were getting tired of hearing Glover place in all those categories. Too bad for them.
Cole and Erica did a great job. We are very proud of them!

I am proud of Cole and Erica, too. When I used to teach 6th graders the constitution and amendments, I was always struck that Grammie Mary Elizabeth Stone Alexander could not vote at the same age I could vote!
ReplyDeleteYou know why it was Glover Glover Glover at the history fair? Maybe because of all the great teachers and parents and Joanie Joanie Joanie working with those kids in school each year and getting them interested at a young age!
