Debbie's Party

It worked out well for us that Debbie's annual Christmas party had to be rescheduled from December to Jan. 24. Back in December we wouldn't have been able to go because we would have been in Maine celebrating Christmas with my family.

On Friday, Heather had been sick with a low grade fever and an upset tummy - a couple of spit up incidents, but nothing too major. She seemed to get over it very quickly, the same day even, so by Saturday morning, she seemed good as new and we decided she was well enough to take her to the party.

For a more comprehensive coverage of the day, you should visit Sandy's blog. We took a lot of the same pictures, so I will try to post pictures of different things - mostly my own kids of course!

Becky and Martha...

Mary and Ellie...
Eliza and Elijah, try to say that 3 times fast...

The spread - a deli platter, quiches, baked beans, ham, au gratin potatoes...

slaws, fruit salads, pumpkin bread...

Heather and Duncan became fast friends.

Visiting and sharing stories.

Wayne, Jacob, Cole, and Asa escape to the bedrooms to wreak havoc.

Heather joins them.

We were the stragglers. After everyone had left, Ellie asked to hear Cole sing the Titanic song, but unfortunately he got his first case of stage fright and burst into tears after the first few words. Wes played a few songs for Ellie's enjoyment.

Just listening and talking before the long ride home, packed in a van with 3 restless kids.

Debbie, with Ellie and Jake.

Thank you Debbie. It was a wonderful time.

  1. Thank you, Darlene, for sharing pictures of your day at John and Debbie's. It makes me feel like I didn't miss a thing. Grammie and I thought of you all yesterday.

Glad Wes was able to play for Ellie!

  2. What great pictures, on both your and Sandy's blob...I got to see all the scenes I missed. It was so nice, but never enough time to really visit with everyone...you just have to relish whoever you do get to spend time with!!

  4. Looks like a wonderful gathering...sorry to have missed it! I talked to Lisa and found out that Wesley and the boys will be traveling down to New Boston. Can Wes bring Paul G's boots to Lisa's? That would be great!
    My love to all!
