Joanie, Wayne, and I went for a nice little snowshoe yesterday afternoon - my first of the season.
This is a picture that Wayne took of one of the scenes along the way.

Somehow, photos cannot really capture what a winter wonderland it was out there.

Wayne and I are at "the fort."

We snowshoe up, up, up to "the pinnacle" and enjoy the view. Here's another picture Wayne took with his little ebay digital camera. A different view of Brian's barn that we've always enjoyed visiting.

We take a different route home through Marvin's sugarwoods.

Wayne was quite interested in the piping. He inspected it all and figured out how it all works.

No school for Wayne and Cole today in honor of MLK. Wes has inservice.
What a winter wonderland you live in. Here, too, it is beautiful as we had 8 inches of snow yesterday and last night another 2.

ReplyDeletePoint of reference about the "fort": this is the deer blind feautured in Uncle Walter's hunting story that some of you may have heard (especially Mom!) Also where Dad shot his final deer, in 1998 with his muzzle. I remember him driving up to our new home on Drew Place the night he shot it to let me in on the action.
ReplyDeleteIs "anonymous" Wesley?
ReplyDeleteDarlene: we don't get to see enough photos of you, as you're always behind the camera! Wayne looks so grown up- he's almost up to Joanie's shoulder!!!!
I love Wayne's photo and am using it as my desktop wallpaper!
