Apples

The apple trees are loaded.
Last weekend, we picked a tubful and made apple cider.
We used the food processor to grind them up a bit.
Then they went into the press.
Although there are a lot of apples, the rather dry summer means that they are not as juicy as they could be.
Today we picked more apples. I made apple pie filling for the freezer.

And Heather helped make apple sauce.

They house smells amazing.

  1. I have not picked any apples yet this year, so was glad to see you hard at it! Interesting that the dry summer makes for less juicy apples.

  3. Lovely photos. The 3 seasons I miss in Vermont are all missed by me equally - though when each one happens, I think, oh if I could only be home just once again with my children to feel this season! And then the next season I think the same thing! Thank you for reminding me of what it was like to be in Vermont in September. Well done on all those apples!!!!
