Wayne began 2
nd grade today. He was eager to get back to school and see his friends.

Compare these pictures with the first day of
kindergarten picture to the right in the side-bar.

Cole doesn't start
kindergarten until Wednesday, but his teacher, Mrs. Dudley made home visits today. As you can see, Cole is not as eager to start school as Wayne is.

She read him a book about the first day of
kindergarten, had him draw a picture and write his name, talked about snack time, recess, the library, phys. ed, etc. Over the summer the
kindergarten class has doubled in size, from 3 to 6 students.

I'm a little sad about Cole starting school. He's still just a baby.
Loved comparing Wayne's first day of second grade to his first day of Kindergarten picture!
ReplyDeleteI bet Cole will end up liking Kindergarten just fine.
You think Cole's just a baby - check in with me Friday when Estelle, age 3, goes to school
ReplyDeleteDarlene- I'm so sorry I didn't even get to say hello on Saturday. I wanted to tell you how pretty you looked, but didn't realize that I wouldn't see you later at the luncheon. Anyway, you looked really pretty and I thought it was funny/cute that both Heather and Elijah were wearing "mudboots" to Ellie's service.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting that both boys will now be in school. Cole is so smart, personable and caring- even if he doesn't appear to be very excited about Kindergarten, I'm certain he will love it. Too bad for SUCH a small class size- I would think a slightly bigger class would be more stimulating. However, 6 is better than 3, haha!
Can't wait to hear how Wednesday goes. Cole's teacher looks very nice. Home visits are such a great idea.
