September seemed like a very long month. When I think of our trip to Maine and Wayne's birthday, it seems like a very long time ago. So, here we go with October - the month of hunting, Halloween, Wes's birthday, and about a bazillion doctor, dentist, orthodontist (yes), and veterinary appointments which somehow all got crammed into this month.
I almost always take Wayne and Cole to school and pick them up in the afternoon, but every once in a while I have them take the bus. Here is Heather running ahead of me as we walk down to meet the bus.
Cole is showing you the building plans of the Titanic that he took to school with him. At Open House the other night, his teacher Mrs. D, said that he's been teaching everyone all about the Titanic.
Wayne has started learning how to use a bow. He's doing a really good job - hits the target every time.
While he was practicing, we saw some Canadian Geese flying in their V formation. A few minutes after this flock flew over, another big group went over.
With this chill in the air today, I think they've got the right idea!

Fun to read what you've been up to. Good luck with your busy October!
ReplyDeleteDarlene, LOVE the new Halloween letter design of "Two Princes and a Princess in the Kingdom!" How will you possibly top last years pumpkin carving?! Picked all of my pumpkins yesterday as frost expected tonight. Do love October! Glad Cole is educating the class on what is REALLY important! Wayne has a strong arm to pull that bow! Future bow hunter? Love Mart
ReplyDeleteSeeing Wayne pulling that bow makes me feel old! he looks so grown up. Your blog looks fantastic! I know October is the bees knees in your house - wish we could be there for Halloween - mabye in a year or two.....
ReplyDeleteThat photo of Heather walking down the country road surrounded by splashes of fall colors should be submitted to Vermont Life...I mean it!!
ReplyDeleteWayne looks so focused with that bow in his hand!
I'll bet Cole's class IS getting an education on the Titanic. Maybe his teacher will be able to skip one of her SS units and let his count for one instead!
Love,
Mary :)
