Just the Everyday Business

We seem to be sort of in a hibernation mode lately. Not much going on, and it's been so cold, we haven't been doing much blog-worthy stuff lately. However, for those of you who might be going into W,C,H withdrawl, here are some photos of the everyday business around here.

Cole and Heather worked on some Valentine's yesterday. Wayne was at school, but he had made some a couple days before this.

Heather is very serious about her artwork.

Lately, she only wants to wear clothes that have flowers on them.

Unlike his brother and sister, Cole does not really enjoy arts and crafts very much, unless it involves assembling and painting a wooden model Titanic. See it down there in the lower left corner. He did that almost all by himself a couple weeks ago. He takes it everywhere.

Heather experiments with scissors. She was so cute. She cut straight lines into the sides of these little papers, all the way around and the ended up looking kind of ruffly and fringey. She was very pleased with herself.

Today Fintan came over. I made cookie dough because tomorrow I'm bringing cookies to the Moonlight Snowshoe and Ski at Glover school. (That might be a blog-worthy event) Anyway, I had to get a picture of these three little scavengers cleaning the beaters and spatulas. They were quiet and busy for about 5 minutes.

Funny Fintan, as Heather refers to him.

  2. This makes me think: Estelle is 5 months older than Heather and I have never let her hold scissors. Or make a valentine. But we have no arts and crafts area! I should investigate kids scissors for her.
Love seeing that flowered top of Estelle's on Heather. You should know that Thomas' cousin who lives in Paris bought that for Estelle - ironically it is Baby Gap!

  3. We loved seeing your pictures of the Valentine makers. It looks like they were doing a very good job on their valentines.

Have fun at the Moonlight Party. I noticed the moon was quite full last night.

Grammie says, "Tonight it will probably be a full moon!"

She also says, "I know there must be some scissors in France for little kids."
