Our friend came back in the evening and this morning. In the evening it was out there even while Wes was cleaning out the snow with the clankety, rattly old plow. Come to think of it, maybe Julie is right and it
is Wayne H. getting a kick out of seeing the old Scout still at it.
Yes, I do believe it is Wayne Henry watching to make sure that Wes is plowing correctly. Look closely at the owl's eyes - don't they remind you of Wayne H.'s eyes keeping a close watch on everything happening around him!!

another great photo...I just watched Into the Wild, which Julie recommended, and he was hooting to the owls, and i think they hooted back...you'll have to try that!

I saw a snowy owl last year, while running. It didn't move for some time, then flew off. It was a beautiful site. As far as board games go, they were cheap entertainment for Peter,Paul, Mary & I. We would play in the back of the station wagon for hours, especially Life. I think we just needed a quiet place in the house. Monopoly was a 2 day game, that often started, but never finished. Also, The Snowman music was written by Howard Blake.
ReplyDeleteOh that's Dad all right.
ReplyDeleteAs for the plow, that's about as close as I ever came to being in the grave - the day I drove the plow with Dad in the passenger seat. Whoah, baby.
What beautiful pictures of the owl- and he's so bold...You folks must be getting POUNDED with snow up there!
ReplyDeleteHappy school vacation :-)
