Swallowtails and Lilacs

The mild winter must have been a friend to the swallowtail butterflies.  We've been seeing them everywhere.  On any given afternoon there can be a dozen on the lilac bush out front.

This afternoon Wes is taking the boys fishing.  Tomorrow we will plant flowers in the cemetery with Joanie and Martha and have a barbecue.  Hope you all have a restful and memorable Memorial Day weekend.

  2. Darlene, you are seriously talented with your camera. I think you should open your own photography (outdoor family portraits, etc) business.
I love swallowtails- they have th emost beautiful markings.
Have a great weekend- marathon Sunday tomorrow, so we've got a busy day planned with the race and a BBQ!

  3. Darlene - great pics! Do you or Joan need any help at the Runaway Pond race next weekend? I can't run and will be on crutches but I can do something... :)

Grammie will be happy to know that someone will be putting flowers on the graves this weekend. She was wondering.
