On Thursday, Cole's class (along with kindergarten and 1st grade) took a field trip to Whale's Tale Water Park in New Hampshire. Heather and I tagged along as chaperons. It was a pretty nice day, but a little on the cool side and the water was numbifyingly freezing.
Below, is the kiddie area. Heather liked this, but it was far too tame for Cole, so he moved on...
...to this. The Banzai Pipeline.
It's a giant water slide that ends in this ramp-like structure. They go down, down, down the slide and then up here to the point of almost being jettisoned off the end, back down and over into a shallow pool where they exit. That's Cole and his best friend Zephyr below.
The water was Atlantic cold, so kids warmed up from time to time in the hot tubs.
Heather liked the hot tubs and wanted to spend all her time here. She and I and Cole also drifted along the Lazy River, which she loved, Cole liked, and in which I lost all feeling in my legs.
I didn't get too many pictures - afraid my camera would get splashed - but here's a nice one of Cole and Zephyr.

Brrr! I am cold just watching the kids in the water.
ReplyDeleteCole is very brave to go on that huge slide!
The hot tub sounds the best to me, too!
Once again, now my kids want to do everything they see their cousins doing! What fun!
ReplyDeleteIt does look like fun!!Cole keeps mentioning a 60 foot drop, and I think I believe him!! It looks like a kid's paradise...
