Wes took a half day so that he could attend the potluck party. Heather was sick today with a painful cough and she was very drippy and runny, so I ended up staying home with her. We figured since Wes had arranged a half day, he might as well be the one to go. They got to the party quite late because he had flat tire on the way home from Hardwick.
Cole with his teachers Miss Denise and Miss Debbie. Cole had a lot of fun in their classroom. Remember the chickie that hatched? and the birdhouse he made? We'll miss their fun and interesting ideas. They did a great job preparing him for Mrs. Dudley's kindegarten class.
Usually these end of the year parties are quite crowded, but it looks like by the time they got there the crowds of little kids and parents had cleared out.
Cole with Cheryl who works in the office and is probably the nicest person in the world. She greeted us every morning as we walked into the building with a cheerful, "Good morning Cole! Good morning Heather!"

We're so glad you took time out of your very busy day to share these pictures with us! Cole is looking so grown up these days. Grammie and I wonder what the "P" on the boys' baseball caps stand for.
ReplyDelete-Grammie and Cousin Anna
Those are their t-ball hats. They're the "Pirates."
ReplyDeleteARG!
Wow- it's hard to believe that Cole is going to kindergarten!
ReplyDeletePoor Heather, we hope she feels better.
Darlene, it will seem so strange next year for you not to make that late morning run to pick up Cole. I am glad you will get a year's break.
ReplyDeleteSeeing the pictures of Shadow Lake Camp make me anxious for our stay at Emily and Stuart's camp during August.
1. I sighed when I read about the flat tire. Poor Wes. He can never get a break. It's not fair.
ReplyDelete2. My heart swelled at the photos of Shadow. Do you know that in all my labor prep courses when they told us to imagine something that was calming and pleasant, I always pictured jumping off the dock into the water there. For years it has always been the image that calms me.
3. Hallelujah! No trips to Barton for one year!
4. Cole looks extremely adult.
How can that be...moving on to K!!!! I loved the shadow lake pics! Darlene, these blogs will be such a great scrapbook for the kids as they grow older....
