Report cards came out today, so I reserve the right to use my blog to brag a little about the fact that I have the greatest kids in the world. Wayne and Cole got perfect scores across the board, so I'll just show the teachers' personal comments:
I remember last year, Wayne's first grade teacher also described him as "the top of his class."
And Mrs. Dudley has this to say about Cole:
I love how she describes his "wonderfully creative and imaginative mind" I think maybe he's going to be some sort of creative genius.
I predict Cole will be a very rich man one day with all that money counting! I wish my 8th graders could identify 49 words correctly!
ReplyDeleteWonderful job boys!
I think reading 49 words for a kindergarten student is amazing. Also, his spelling is impressive. I think that he tells time shows how gifted he is!
ReplyDeleteWayne, you should be proud of your new report card, too. It sounds like you are the kind of student that every teacher loves!
Those are smart boys. We love them.
ReplyDeleteCole can identify more words in English than my hubby. What does that mean? ha ha
Miss you all!
Way to go for my favorite NEK nephews! Wish I had more kids like Wayne & Cole and fewer like T&%$er, T^%$a or S#*n (names encrypted to protect the privacy of the most annoying students a teacher could ever have). Can't imagine any teacher ever having to encrypt Wayne or Cole's names to protect their privacy!
ReplyDeleteWayne and Cole, you are both so smart! It must be all of the books your mom and dad have read to you all these years!! Have you read "Little House in the Big Woods" yet? It was my favorite! Love, Aunt Martha
ReplyDeleteHe's in Kindergarten right? If that's the right grade level then he is exceeding standards (at least in my district). Telling time isn't exactly developmentally appropriate for Kindergarten. But these days they keep pushing the curriculumn down further and further. Maybe you better start practicint with Heather. I have plenty of teaching clocks if you need one!!! He should have a reading assessmnt in May an then you'll have a good idea how he stacks up wth his peers. I'm predicting he'll be an excellent student like all those other Alexanders who have gone before him....
