Perfect Days Part 2

Easter morning at our house started at 7:00 a.m. when the kids got up and hunted down their Easter eggs and baskets. Heather shows off her bubbles. She's wearing Christmas pj's on Easter.
Then it was actually nice enough to have breakfast on the porch.
Their Easter baskets were these frog catching nets, so of course we had to go to the pond after church to try them out.
There are already thousands of eggs in the pond.
Then it was over to Joanie's house for Easter dinner and playing outside. Elijah got bubbles for Easter too.

I didn't get a picture of the dinner, but of course I wouldn't miss the desserts. Blackberry pies by Cedric, apple crisp by Tyler, and cookies by Joanie.
Relaxation...
An egg hunt for the little ones.

And Cole gets more birthday gifts.
It was great to see everyone and to enjoy such a lovely meal and beautiful weather.

  1. I am glad you had perfect weather for two days in a row.

There has certainly been a lot of excitement at your house recently, what with Cole's birthday and then Easter.

Heather looked so pretty in her little Easter dress.

Loved the nets for the pond. Looks like you will have plenty of frogs this summer!

  2. Those frogs eggs are terrifying. Seriously. That just about brought on an attack in my apartment.
Great weather, loved that you had Easter b-fast on the porch! Wow!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the dessert photo. The images of those 2 pies is going to carry me thru my day of endless laundry.
Did you cut Heather's hair again? It's cute.
p.s. love Cole is full church clothes and Wayne in a GloverDay t-shirt and shorts.

  3. Wayne changed out of his church clothes immediately, but Cole couldn't be bothered. He did take off his tie, tho. Then he fell in the pond a little bit and got his pants muddy, so he had to change those. By the end of the day his white shirt was splattered with black berry pie, fruit salad, and chocolate.

Heather had been asking me everyday lately to cut her hair short. I didn't want to because it was just getting long enough to do fun things agian, but she kept asking and she genuinely seemed to want it shorter so I did. She looks cute and she's happy that it's not in her way.
