Recently, Wayne discovered what I think is a baby Robin on the ground. Not able to fly yet, he was just hopping around. I got close enought to get this picture and then we left him alone. I wonder if he's learning to fly or fell out of the nest.
Like a bird, Wayne likes to be in the trees. The apple and pear trees are friendly to boy climbers.
Not to be outdone by his older brother, Cole climbs right up, too.
Did I fool you with that picture? In reality, Cole barely got his feet off the ground, but he wanted me to take a picture that made it look like he was high up in the tree.
And yes, he does have his shirt on backwards.

How funny, Darlene! Your boys are so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYes, that is a Robin, you can tell by the beak. We had a baby Brown-headed Cowbird hopping around our lawn recently. It could fly short distances, and even up into trees. but for some reason, it kept coming down to the lawn. Needless to say, its presence entertained Zoe for hours.
ReplyDeleteI love how Cole is always dressed all backwards!
By the way, I met Spike last weekend when we came to pick up the stroller (thank you for that!). He is ONE HANDSOME DOG!!! I helped untangle his chain from the weeds, I think I am his new BFF!
I immediately noticed Cole's shirt on backwards and it made me grin from ear to ear.
ReplyDeleteI used to climb the apple tree and the pear tree on the front lawn at Steeplebush!
